Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last term of junior high. There are two of her younger siblings and an older brother. At the age of 9 up to 16, she started working in the entertainment business through modeling. Her career in acting began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of Sanford Meisner's techniques with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock has received the identical training that was given to Jeff Goldblum and Leslie Nielsen. The first role she acted in was from Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating in Los Angeles. Soon after, she scored as the lead role in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she did almost all of her stunts herself, and established herself as an athletic actress. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to land a regular role in the show Friends.
